Junk Harbour - Cheung Chau
Cheung Chau is an Island where a wonderful curved bay forms a very good natural harbour, which is sheltered at the open side by a break water so that the harbour forms a good typhoon shelter, although it is not nearly as impressive and famous as for example the one in Aberdeen or Causeway Bay.
In the "old" days, - the seventies -, Cheung Chau even boasted a few traditional shipyards turning out wooden junks and sampans.
A great place to get away from it all, - there are not even cars here on this small island, but in the seventies there were still lots of junks and sampans.
