The Temples
Baoan Temple
Construction of the Baoan Temple started in 1805 and it was finished in 1830.
It is not a temple dedicated to a certain person or deity, - like a Buddhist temple or the Kung Fu Tse temple -, but to many "gods" or "semigods" and figures from Taiwanese folk religion.
As you can tell, this temple is much more decorated than for example Kung Fu Tse temples, which usually are kept clean of too many dominating decorations.
