I will end this page with a picture of myself from 1974, because I too  was certainly a crew member of the "Emma Jebsen" - all the way from the construction at the yard in Germany in 1971 and onwards, until I finally left "Emma Jebsen - with a sad heart - in 1977.

The story behind the picture is, - that one day I got a letter from my parents, who asked me when I had planned to come home? They missed me and would very much like to see me - - -

Yes - of course - - - But I stayed in the Far East for years, - and NEVER thought about coming home! Life was so good here!

I enjoyed a lot of freedom, and I stayed in Hong Kong among the most intelligent people in the World - And the same goes for Japan - and Korea - - -

And the women too were top class in that corner of the World- - - Highly intelligent and highly cultivated, - not to mention their beauty - and I got along with them very well, - and never missed fantastic female company - - -

So - I rarely went home to see my old parents, - and they missed me - - - So, - if I did not plan to go home soon, - would I be so kind to send them a photo of myself in order to compensate for my absense?????

YES - of course - - - I felt a little bit ashamed and at the first opportunity I went ashore in Hong Kong and made a series of photos at a local photo studio - - -

And this photo is one of them - - - For my old parents - - -

Usually we did not run around in uniforms on "Emma Jebsen", because we had to work, but here I made an exeption and chose to be photographed in my 1st. Engineer uniform of Jebsen's standard.

It worked out well, - and my parents were very happy, - and furthermore I did go home for vacation next time around -
