The Engine Room
The Engine Control Room
First some pictures from the engine control room.
This is the first place you arrive to when going down the stairs and entering the engine room compartment.
The engine control room on "Emma Jebsen" is not very big, but like all other engine control rooms, this is in fact the nerve- and brain center of the ship.
This is where everything on the ship is switched on or off, - where everything begins and ends, - and where the whole idea of a ship, - going from "A" to "B", and getting cargo in and out -, is controlled.
The Auxiliary Engine Room
From the engine control room, you enter into the enclosed auxiliary engine room, where 3 diesel driven generators supply the ship with electric power.
The Workshop
From here you can continue into a compartment with various machinery, - like boiler, water heater, hydrophore tanks, air condition plant and fresh water generator.
Machinery Room
The Main Engine Room
From the level of the auxiliary engine room, - workshop and machinery room, - you can see the top of the 6000 bhp main engine.
