Being the photographer on this sea trial, - I often climbed the masts in order to get some special effects pictures.

I also took several trips in the rubber boat you see moored alongside "Nordboen" - - -

Here I am in the main mast - looking straight down  - - -

After a very successful sea trial, - "Nordboen" is again safely moored in the old port of Middelfart - -

This was some of my many pictures taken onboard the "Nordboen" in 1982, - when she was finally finished and had has her sea trial, which proved to be very succesful - - - -

Everything worked according to plan and everything went very smoothly and in a great optimism and joy from her large sea trial crew - - - -

No wonder - - -

As crew omboard were real sailors and riggers, boatbuilders, a Chief Engineer - me, - a real "Cape Horner" - and friends and fans of traditional sailing ships - - -

Please continue to next page:  "Nordboen" - 3 - where "Nordboen" is back in commercial trade again, but now as a passenger boat, where ship lovers could enjoy REAL TRUE sailing - - -
