"Otto Hahn" was powered by a nuclear reactor and was the second civilian nuclear powered ship following the "Savannah" - USA, but when no American shipowner showed interest in building a second nuclear powered ship, - the Germans stepped in and did it!
Completet in Kiel - Germany - in 1968, - DWT.: 14428 tons, - LOA.: 172 meters, - Beam: 23,6 meters
Propusion: Nuclear, - Speed: 15,5 knots
In 1980 the nuclear reactor was removed and replaced with diesel propulsion - 17 knots -,and through several owners she served as container ship and later general cargo ship-, and finally scrapped in Alang- India -in 2009 - - -

M/S Floret" finally through the "Cut", - between the "Gold Hill" and the "Constructors Hill" - - -
I took those photos while waiting for signing on a ship in Panama, and having always been impressed by "Gaillard's Cut", whenever I have passed it, - I decided to use the waiting time to explore the "Cut" - as well as other things while in Panama - - -

Built as tanker "Borgestad" by Goetaverken, Gothenborg, Sweden in 1948.
Converted to bulkcarrier in 1966.
DWT.: 14478 tons, - LOA.:157,0 meters, - Beam: 19,5 meters, - Propulsion: Diesel - 14,5 knots.
Renamed"Sisangu" 1965, - renamed "Cosmo Trader" in 1965, - Renamed "San Eduarto" in 1966, - Renamed "Montego" in 1973, renamed "Good View" in 1977 and scrapped in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1979.
