"Liao Hai 2" Chinese ship photographed at Tsingtao, China in July/August 1973 - (Photo- and copyright: Karsten Petersen ©)

This ship -"Liao Hai" - is similar to the Swedish Johnson line ships built in Sweden before/during/after WW 2, and therefore I presume that it must be an old ex-Swedish ship, - like the "Suecia", "Brasil", "Panama" , "Guayana" or another fine, old Johnson liner -, but it has not been possible for me to find out which one.

"Liao Hai 2"

Here a larger, but still unclear view of the name, which I think reads "Liao Hai 2".

Anybody out there who might know the history of that ship?
